Fudgy Brownies with Salted Caramel Brandy Glaze
Yield: about 16 brownies

Ingredients for the brownies:
12 tablespoons (1 1/2 sticks) unsalted butter
1 1/2 cups sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2/3 cup cocoa powder
3 large eggs
1 cup flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
A heaping 1/2 cup chocolate chips

Ingredients for the glaze:
1/2 cup sugar
2 tablespoons water
1 1/2 tablespoons unsalted butter
1/4 cup brandy
1/2 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup powdered sugar
1-2 tablespoons heavy cream or half-and-half (I used about 1 1/2 tablespoons)
